Despite Foden pushing for a return to the squad after regaining his top condition at Manchester City, and Jude Bellingham having returned for his Spanish club following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has decided against including two of the nation's most prominent attacking talents. Bellingham has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his club since his return. Tuchel has found space for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been restored in place of his unavailable Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not been handed a return to the squad. The Newcastle defender, who featured at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Belgrade, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. The manager has opted against selecting a direct replacement for the Newcastle player but has selected the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out last month. Tuchel has spoken about the centre-back's significance for England and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park. There is no place for the midfielder, who was called up in the previous squad but pulled out injured and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Tuchel said: “A mere three weeks after the last camp and the last win, the latest display, so the consideration was why not bring the identical squad in because they set the standard. Now it is about building routines out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Noni and we bring of course the Arsenal forward in to replace Noni. The defender was a late call-up previously; he will stay in camp.”
